Fur Friends Mobile Veterinary Services was founded by the husband and wife duo of Veterinarian, Dr. Heather Jue and Veterinary Technician, Kelby McAlpine.
Dr. Jue and Kelby are involved in the international veterinary volunteer group, FARVets. FARVets is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting animal welfare domestically and abroad through programs such as free or low-cost spay and neuter clinics, wellness care, and education. Specifically, they lead a clinic in Hopkins, Belize, where they were eventually married in 2018.
Since graduating from Cornell Vet School in 2011, Dr. Heather Jue has spent many years working as an emergency veterinarian in Northern Virginia, but she also enjoys general medicine and preventative care, as well as helping local rescues and shelters.
Dr. Heather and Kelby are avid travelers and hope to pass on their love of traveling and nature (especially National Parks) to their children.
Kelby has been in the veterinary industry for more than 25 year in various technical roles, which have given him a wide range of knowledge and refined skill in veterinary care. Kelby has worked in emergency/critical care, general medicine, laboratory, and oncology.
